it's been a while since our last post but what better time to start back up? it's the season of giving so we're giving you something worth reading!
why don't i start with what i have on my Christmas list?

5. bloomies little pink bag
6. the heart u back bff bracelet benefiting the aspca

just to name a few of course. any respectable Christmas list should have designer items on it! i mean, whats better than opening a gift on Christmas morning and knowing from the intricate box it came in that you are getting exactly what you wanted?!

a few weeks ago while going to the movies with some friends a saw a horrific sight!

in the lobby of the movie theater there was a middle aged (mid 50's i'd assume) woman. she was wearing red skinny jeans, white wedges and a lace top. a see-through lace top. not just partially see-through, or only on the back. her bra was in plain view to everyone!

why would she think that this was acceptable? and being that she was all by herself was she waiting for a date? i certainly hope not!

if only i could have snapped a photo! clearly someone needs to have an intervention with this poor woman!

what not to wear

when you hear "cocktail party attire" the 1st thing that pops into my mind about what to wear should be a fab lbd or something similar. now, a beach cocktail party opens up plenty more options on what is acceptable attire. a great sundress, or even that fave lbd dressed down with strappy sandals. you have plethora of options here, girls!!!
what is NOT acceptable attire is a pair of black knit shorts with a hot pink tank top and a white hoodie. cocktail attire... even beach cocktail attire certainly doesn't mean to walk by pac sun and buy whatever you see on display.
true, i may not know you yet, hoodie girl, but i dont plan on taking the time to either. you're not worthy of my time!

know your wine!

i recently dined at Ruth's Chris in celebration of my boyfriends birthday. while enjoying the fabulous food and wine, a young couple was seated next to us. they brought their own bottle of wine, and it sounded as if they were there to celebrate something as well. now first off, i do not have a problem with bringing your own bottle of wine; we have done so before. most nice restaurants in the area offer a corking fee for you to bring in your own bottle, as long as they do not offer it on their menu. BLT did not offer Cakebread Cellars chardonnay, which is one of my faves, when we dined there for my birthday a few months back.

anyhow, being the nosey gal that i am, i glanced over to catch a glimpse of what bottle they brought in! i was shocked to see that it was Beringer. even if you're not a wino, you know that this bottle is under $10. clearly ruth's chris would never put such a low-class bottle on their menu! i wondered how this couple even found their way into this fine restaurant, when they clearly have no taste for a good wine. while i am aware that beringer does produce wine that sells for well over $100, i know my bottles and this was not one of them. to make the situation even more humorous, when the server asked the couple for their IDs, the girl laughed and said that she doubt anyone under 21 would be bringing in that type of bottle. SERIOUSLY??

moral of the story - if you are so inclined to dine at ruth's chris, be aware of your surroundings. do not bring a $7 bottle of wine to have with your $50 meal. it's not only offensive to the restaurant, but to 2DCsnobs who are embarassed for you!

class is hard to come by

here's a little lesson on how to have some class, or at least act like you do.

if you rear-end someone on 495 in rush hour traffic so hard that BOTH cars (the one hit being an SUV for goodness sake) have to be towed away, the least you can do is apologize!

knowing when you're at fault and apologizing for stupid behavior is today's lesson on class.

why it's NOT ok to shop at tj maxx!

any fashionista knows that to be on top of her game, she must shop at high end stores! now i'm not saying evvvvverything must come from neimans, but come on ladies, we can't exactly waltz into the nearest old navy for a new LBD now can we?

people who shop at tj maxx really don't have any fashion direction at all. they are much like anne hathaway's character, andy, in the devil wears prada. at the beginning of the movie, she just opens her closet and pulls out the first sweater she sees and throws it on! similiar tactics are used by tj maxx shoppers. they walk through the racks, choose some random maxi dress they think looks cute, and toss it in their basket. no clue as to who makes it, what it's made of, where it's made, etc.

designer clothes are expensive because they are made well. they are made to last. (not that we would ever wear it for more than one season, of course!) they are made to feel good against your skin and to hug your body perfectly. a pair of levi's will never fit the same as a pair of sevens, it's a solid fact.

Living in a major metropolitan area like myself you need to realize that in order to be somebody, you need to BE somebody. The sooner you figure that out, the better your life will be. Once you have this engrained in your brain, you will then know what it’s like to be better than the rest.

Our blog here is to share with you WHY we’re better than you, and hopefully give the public an insight as to how they can become the best they can be... But not better than us, because, as the blog title suggests, we’re already the best out there.

Don’t get me wrong. We’re not a couple of snooty girls who are entirely close minded. We know our faults and we admit to them, but we also know that coming to terms with those faults can be a long, cumbersome road that many of you out there can’t handle. But here’s our insight anyway, for your enjoyment and education. Love us or hate us… Either way, we hated you first and it’s up to you to change that.
